A combination of hits and misses
The attentive staff made the stay truly enjoyable while the private onsen experience was exceptionally soothing and accessible! Dining was an extraordinary adventure in traditional Japanese cuisine.
The path leading to the inn can be difficult to navigate, especially if you're without a car. Public access to local attractions may pose a little inconvenience.

The private onsen experience was a true highlight, offering a peaceful escape in individually themed baths. Dinner was delightful with exceptional quality, especially the raw fish, and the attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable. However, the smallest room lacks a private toilet, requiring a trip to the common facilities. Additionally, I wished for better navigational guidance to reach the ryokan without a car, and more English literature in the library would enhance the experience.

The room was beautifully decorated with traditional Japanese decor, and the ryokan's layout was easily navigable, making it very accessible for seniors. I especially loved the serene atmosphere and the stunning views of nature surrounding the property.
More English literature in the library would help.

The private onsen was a blissful escape, and I loved sipping tea while lounging in the yukata provided by the hotel. I felt so relaxed soaking in the outdoor bath as the snowflakes fell around me. The only downside was that the walls were a bit thin, so I could occasionally hear my neighbors, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all. 😊

This place was just a great fit for a short staycation in Nakanojo, offering very good value for money. The private outdoor hotspring baths were gorgeous, especially the one furthest from the rooms, and experiencing it during a snowstorm was unforgettable.
